Since 2008, March 26<\/strong> has been recognized as World Epilepsy Day<\/strong>, also known as Purple Day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The idea was initiated by Cassidy Megan<\/strong>, a nine-year-old girl from Canada living with epilepsy.
By the age of nine, Cassidy had already experienced discrimination and prejudice from both adults and her peers because of her condition.<\/p>\n

To break the myths surrounding epilepsy, Cassidy decided to raise awareness about herself and others living with the condition.
